Mark your calendars. The 18th Annual Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance is scheduled for March 8-10, 2013 at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island and The Golf Club of Amelia Island at Summer Beach.

The Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance gained significant international prestige when we were nominated for Motoring Event of the Year by the 2011 International Historic Motoring Awards. “The Amelia” was on a short list with some giants like The Quail, Motorclassica Essen, the London to Brighton Run and Pebble Beach. Humbling and very heady stuff, said Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance founder and chairman Bill Warner.

Sam Posey will be the 2013 Honoree and with display of his fleet of race cars from his diverse and eclectic career to be on the field on Sunday morning, March 10, 2013.

Celebrating 50 Years in Automotive and Motorsport History

On March 8-10, 2013 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Porsche’s  legend, the irreplaceable 911. It’s also the 50th anniversary of the Corvette Sting Ray. Both these pivotal and extraordinary cars will have seminars in their honor. We’ll also celebrate the 50th anniversary of Italy’s Lamborghini marque.

Sharing only two parts with the previous generation model, it incorporates an all-new frame structure and chassis, a new powertrain and supporting technologies, as well as completely new exterior and interior designs featuring real carbon fiber, aluminum and hand-wrapped leather materials.

“As avid Corvette enthusiasts, members of the Corvette Club of Orlando eagerly awaited the Stingray Reveal on 01-13-13.  Now that we have seen the car and understand just how innovative and improved the car really is – while all along, retaining that unmistakable Corvette look and pedigree, this all-new Corvette has all of us rethinking our long-term goals for Corvette ownership!” — Corvette Club of Orlando is the premier Corvette membership club in Florida.
