Desert Inn Diner at Yeehaw Junction—Welcomes Travelers

If you travel down State Road 60 as often as I do, you will see open land, cattle, deer and lots of trucks. On this back road and you’ll see many relics of our state’s history. One such place is the original Desert Inn Diner at Yeehaw Junction in Osceola County. The historic Desert Inn at Yeehaw Junction was originally an 1880s trading post for cowboys and lumberman, and later served as a saloon, restaurant, gas station, dance hall…and even a bordello.

Kevin and Tracie

I meet up with new owners Kevin and Tracie who are passionate about protecting and preserving a part of Florida’s real history alive for local and travelers as well as the next generation. Kevin a Italian chef from New York now prepares a huge selection of handmade burgers with homemade ice tea in vintage Mason Jar Drinking Mugs. Kevin and Tracie invite you to take a pit stop on your next trip through Yeehaw Junction. The Desert Inn Diner is open from 8am – 8pm. For small group reservation, please call 407-393-7054
